Hi, My name is Karissa Pavlik. I am a Reiki practitioner who practices at Red Bird Mental Health Services. I have been practicing Reiki for over two years, and specialize in Reiki II Usi/Tibetan hands-on healing. I am also working towards becoming a Reiki master.
When you are in a Reiki session with me, I often use touch in order to facilitate relaxation in the body. Reiki teaches us that when we are relaxed, the body has the potential to heal itself. Reiki also believes that the body wants to heal itself and will continually seek ways to do this.
During a Reiki session, the client may experience many different sensations in the body, such as heat or cold, vibration, or visualizing colors. After a session, the person may experience physical symptoms, such as an increase in headaches and sneezing, These are all normal and also short-lived symptoms as the body works on healing itself.
In my personal time, I love spending time with my children; I am a soccer and Karate mom! I also practice meditation and exercise.
