Educational / Experience
-
- I’m a licensed professional counselor with experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as in homes and schools. I received my Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology from Temple University in 2018 (Go Owls!🦉). I have since worked with children, adolescents, and adults alike. I specialize in trauma therapy, with a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I utilize strategies from a wide range of treatment modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt therapy, play therapy, somatic therapies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), traditional CBT, and reunification therapy. I work with individuals, families, couples, and groups in ways that best fit the needs of the client.
Treatment Philosophy
-
- My philosophy on mental health is rooted in the belief that we all have the therapeutic tools within ourselves to heal. I believe the role of a therapist is to guide us back toward our natural ability to heal so that we can relearn, flourish, and grow.
A Session With Me
-
- I utilize different treatments that encourage a mind-body connection. My treatment style is very eclectic. I utilize strengths-based and person-centered approaches from multiple evidence-based therapies that are tailored to the specific client, their goals, and interests. I enjoy utilizing sports, the arts, the outdoors, and whatever outlets allow for creativity, individuality, and understanding while in session.
Hobbies and Interests
-
- In my free time, I enjoy stand-up comedy, woodworking, and time with my friends. I feel truly blessed to be a therapist and to be able to work with clients and co-create a journey towards mental wellness.
