Biography
Hey! I’m Sam and I serve as the Clinical Director and an outpatient trauma therapist at Redbird Mental Health Services where I have worked with children, parents, and families for more than six years. My therapy sessions are grounded in a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach supported by advanced training and national certifications.
Therapeutic Approach:
I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), two proven methods for processing traumatic experiences and fostering long-term healing. As a play therapist working towards a registered play therapy license, I love to incorporate sand tray and play analysis informed by Carl Jung’s theories, offering children and adults a developmentally appropriate and symbolic way to express emotions that are often difficult to put into words.
Client Population:
In addition to my work with children and parents, I also have a strong passion for working with who have a history of complex trauma. I help clients explore how early experiences continue to influence their present lives and support them in creating a path toward stability, resilience, and meaningful change.
Treatment Philosophy:
My clinical focus includes strengthening relationships, improving communication, and addressing the impact of trauma within the family system. I strive to bring a warm, authentic presence to every session so that clients feel secure, respected, and understood.
I am committed to continual professional growth and am currently pursuing advanced training in somatic experiencing and sex therapy, deepening my ability to integrate mind–body awareness and relational health into the therapeutic process.
Above all, I believe that healing happens through a collaborative, individualized approach. I am honored to walk alongside each client—whether child, parent, or adult survivor of complex trauma—as they work toward resilience and lasting change.
