Now Hiring: Trauma-Focused Psychotherapists

Full-Time & Part-Time | Hybrid Work | Wilkes-Barre & Drums, PA

Red Bird Mental Health is growing, and we are so excited to welcome passionate, creative, and caring counselors who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients.

We specialize in trauma-informed care, and while experience treating trauma is a plus, it’s not required. What matters most is that you bring empathy, curiosity, and a heart for healing. We’ll provide you with the training, supervision, and support to grow confidently into the work.

What Makes Us Different

At Red Bird, you’re never just a number—you’re part of a warm, supportive community of clinicians committed to whole-person healing. We offer:

  • A flexible hybrid schedule (telehealth + in-person)
  • A focus on work-life balance and sustainability
  • Weekly supervision toward licensure (LPC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist)
  • Agency-paid training in EMDR, TF-CBT, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and Somatic modalities
  • A caseload of children, teens, and families—with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care

Location & Availability

This role requires:

  • Two days per week in our Wilkes-Barre office
  • Two days per week in our Drums office
  • Availability from 3:00–7:00 PM at least two days per week or one day on the weekend to support appointments for children, adolescents, and working families

We currently have full-time and part-time openings for licensed or license-eligible clinicians in Pennsylvania.

What We Offer (Full-Time Benefits)

  • Competitive salary
  • Health insurance
  • Retirement plan options
  • Paid time off and major holidays
  • Paid supervision and professional development
  • Flexible scheduling with support for telehealth
  • Beautiful, thoughtfully designed office spaces

Who We’re Looking For

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • Licensed or license-eligible in PA (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist)
  • A desire to work with children, teens, and families
  • Openness to learning somatic, creative, and trauma-focused modalities
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to ethical, compassionate care

Our Mission

At Red Bird Mental Health, our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and trauma-informed care that honors the resilience of every individual. Healing happens in safe, connected relationships—and we believe our therapists deserve that too.

We’re proud to create a workplace where clinicians are seen, supported, and inspired to do their best work.
